Westbrook is in drought. Times are hard and food is getting scarce, and a young woman has just been found murdered. As tensions rise in this rural town, a new threat comes on the wind. Witches rumoured to be amongst the townsfolk. Neighbour begins to distrust neighbour, and Thomas Campbell remains the only level head trying to keep the town together. But chaos arises as Thomas discovers one of the witches, and the trial of Westbrook begins.
